We believe everyone deserves

to thrive

Human potential flourishes when people feel connected and part of a community. That’s why we work towards a world where everyone belongs.

Belonging is a human need as vital as air, water, and shelter.

It’s to feel that we, as well, are vital — a fundamental part of a community, where we feel welcomed, accepted, and connected to others.

These connections bring meaning and purpose to our lives, so we call them meaningful.

By creating spaces for meaningful interactions and training individuals in the art of inclusive facilitation and welcoming events, Kontakt Kollektiv works towards a more equitable and interconnected society where every person can thrive and experience a sense of belonging.

Fostering Meaningful Connections

Tackling loneliness and social divides through authentic relationships.

Our story

Kontakt Kollektiv came together in Hamburg in July 2020 during the global pandemic, united by a shared desire to interact purposefully and wholeheartedly. With our different, complementary skills and perspectives, we began organising events to create spaces for those seeking more intentional, authentic connections.

Our impact

Four years and over 50 events later, we’ve impacted 11,600+ people from 36 cultures. As the 2022 IFB Hamburg Social Innovation Award winner, we’ve refined our expertise in creating safe spaces and events. Today, we provide training, resources, and a supportive network to help leaders and changemakers build bridges of connection in workplaces and communities.
Increase employee productivity by 20%, enhancing business performance and innovation.
Increase civic participation by 40%, fostering more active and engaged communities.
Boost life expectancy by up to 50%, fostering healthier, more prosperous societies.

We work with

Our team

As a lean and agile, women*-led team, we join forces to create spaces where people from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable to open up and share their stories.

And we have over 30 years of expertise and lived experiences to back us up!
